Highlights
from the 6/29 Mini-reunion
A
small number of us attended the mini-reunion last Saturday, 6/29/02. We had fun
sampling Margies & Daisys cooking and determining which was bibingka and which was biko.
Thanks to Margie for welcoming us in her home. Ferdie gets the award for
driving the farthest, coming all the way from San Diego County. It was hard recalling faces and details of our 4-year stay
at USTHS, but our good old yearbook made it easier. We blame it all on old age
brain cells. Thats why we need more of you to help us reminisce at the next meeting.
Margie
& Helen will be consolidating our rosters by this week. We currently have
about 29 names on our list, US only; plus 18 names in the Phil. We will need
your help to build-up our list and search for those who we know are in the U.S. Janet,
our honorary alum, impressed us with a number of fellow graduates whom well try to locate.
Way to go, Janet.
Other
items discussed:
a)
Possible dates for the 2003 Reunion
sometime during Spring break, contingent upon the Phil. Reunion/Event date
b)
Possible venue So. California or Las
Vegas
c)
Accommodations for those in the East
Coast and No. California some of us may be able to host those non-So California residents.
d)
2003 Event Planning Committee we will
form a committee at the next meeting. Please volunteer your expertise and/or
nominate a fellow graduate for the committee.
Another
email will be sent out re the next meeting in August with, possibly, a roster of fellow 78 graduates. A directory will be released later when the legal issues concerning privacy are resolved, per Marissa,
our legal expert. Till then, wed love to hear from you and hopefully see you
at the next meeting.
